Alan writes short stories and other fiction. He particularly enjoys writing about displaced aliens, cursed knitwear, foul-mouthed mythical creatures and alternative histories of Hollywood's golden era. His favourite plot device is the surprise bear. He lives and works in London.
Besides being published in a number of anthologies and even a Christmas cracker (no joke), Alan has had many of his short stories read by extremely talented actors as part of Liars' League, a highly enjoyable fiction night that you should definitely attend if you find yourself in London. Or New York. Or Hong Kong.
